Lake Country is located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, between Kelowna and Vernon, BC. This picturesque area is nestled along the shores of Okanagan, Kalamalka, Wood, and Duck Lakes, providing easy access to outdoor recreation and stunning lake views.
Wine and Dine: Home to award-winning wineries, farm-to-table dining, and vibrant local markets, the food and wine scene is exceptional.
Lack of Nightlife: If you crave a vibrant nightlife, you may find the quiet evenings and limited entertainment options super disappointing.
Scenic Beauty: Surrounded by crystal-clear lakes, rolling vineyards, and mountain views, Lake Country offers some of the most stunning landscapes in the Okanagan.
Tourist Crowds: Summer months bring an influx of tourists, which can make popular spots busy – parking of vehicles and boats difficult.
Outdoor Lifestyle: With abundant hiking trails, water sports, and cycling routes, it’s a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts year-round.
High Cost of Living: Property prices and the cost of living can be high, making it less affordable for some.
Community Feel: Friendly and safe neighbourhoods, top-rated schools, and local events foster a strong sense of community.
Winter Weather: Winter roads can be challenging, especially on the winding lake-side highways. Believe me I know, AWD makes me happy.
Proximity to Kelowna and Vernon: Enjoy the best of both worlds with easy access to city amenities while living in a quieter, more peaceful area.
Limited Shopping and Services: While charming, the local shopping and dining options are more limited compared to larger cities.
